Way back in 2012 a little company from China surprised the world by announcing that they would launch an iPad mini clone which would run Android and cost just $99! What was so shocking was the fact the company announced this on the day of the real iPad mini launch!
Months past and we have finally crept in to 2013 with very little word on the iPad mini clone, so was it all a hoax? Was it just vapourware? These spy photos would suggest no.

The GooPad mini shown here may finally go on sale as the Minipad, whether or not it has maintained it’s $99 price tag or not we don’t know, but we have learned that this little tablet will feature Mediatek’s dual-core MT6577 CPU. This will effectively mean the GooPad mini is will be a 7.85-inch Android tablet with call functionality, GPS,3G and dual-sim stand-by!
We can see from the photos that the iPad mini clone has a very convincing body, and even the Android based OS has a convincing iOS look and features some Apple functions such as Siri and iTunes Sync!
It also looks as though the GooPad Mini will be running a lower resolution screen than the real iPad, and icons on the springboard appear much larger than they do on the genuine iPad mini.
More details as we get them.
